People seriously need to try my ECM suggestion. If hes using lock on weapons, try to disarm him of everything else, then just follow him around with an ECM mech.

You don't have to say anything, just follow him around.

the devs know how broken ECM is. Thats why they use it and dont use anything it affects.
If Paul was getting as thouroughly owned by ECM as he was by knockdown, it would get removed two weeks later like KD was lol

i duno ECM implementation was arguably the best troll move in the history of trolling

convince thousands of people that ECM is fine for many months

only better troll i can think of would have been orson welles' broadcast of war of the worlds back in the 40s.

It needs a buff, the game isn't unplayable and frustrating enough to make everyone but me quit yet.

ECM *is* fine, albeit it boring and poorly designed. ECM doesn't kill enemy mechs, or directly improve your damage number at the end of a game. Streaks and LRMs are the problem, and in a light fight in particular this is demonstrated by one side having more ECM and raining endless OP streaks on their opponents, who are forced to return fire with lasers. No amount of laser accuracy will surpass a bunch of streaks coming in on you.

LRMs are super easy to dodge, and never see competitive play ever, but the counter to LRMs is camping behind a hill with more patience than your opponent, which is BORING and not something pug drops have the organization to overcome. LRMs are extremely badly designed weapons.

STREAKS are OP. LRMS are OP. Anything binary like Streaks or LRMs need to be completely redesigned.
